Gujarat Public Service Commission announced annual schedule of recruitment exams, Prelims exam to start from April, pave the way for candidates to prepare.
GPSC Exam Schedule 2025: Various class-1, 2 and 3 categories in the state by Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC).The schedule of recruitment examinations for the posts has been announced. Aayog has announced preliminary and main exam dates for several important posts including Gujarat Administrative Service, Assistant Forest Conservator, Accounts Officer, State Tax Inspector, and Deputy Section Officer/Naib Mamlatdar. These exams will start from the month of April. GPSC Chairman Hasmukh Patel has given this information to the candidates by posting it on his social media platform.
Hasmukh Patel announced on social media ‘X’ and said, ‘Candidates can prepare for the exam in advance, get an opportunity to participate in various recruitments, and not get delayed in the evaluation process, keeping all these things in mind, the annual time table of the examinations of Civil Service Class-1, 2, Deputy Saxon Officer, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Statistics Officer Class-1, 2, State Tax Inspector etc. has been announced.’
The schedule announced by GPSC is intended to make the recruitment process quick and efficient. The Commission has said that since the Main Examinations of Class-1, Class-2 and Class-3 categories are descriptive in nature and their assessment takes time, the examinations have been arranged in such a way that only after the assessment of one examination is completed, the other examination is conducted. Apart from this, the Commission has also considered the convenience of the candidates, as most of the candidates appear for more than one examination. So that their various exams do not come at the same time.
The commission further said that efforts are on to get good quality experts and a portal is also being developed for this. Some candidates may be in favor of postponing the exam, but the commission feels that doing so delays the recruitment process, which is not in the interest of the candidates. Hence, the Commission will endeavor to adhere to this schedule.
Change in Exam Dates
Candidates may specifically note that the dates of some examinations have been changed:
Assistant Conservator of Forests and District Forest Officer Class-II and Accounts Officer Class-I/II: The date of preliminary examination which was earlier announced on 10.05.2025, will now be held on 06.06.2025. Regular and special recruitment of disabled will be held jointly.
Deputy Section Officer/Naib Mamlatdar Class-III: The date of preliminary examination which was earlier announced on 25.04.25, will now be held on 07.09.25. Regular and special recruitment of disabled will be held jointly.
State Tax Inspector Class-III: Date of Preliminary Exam for Special Recruitment of Divyangs will remain as 06.04.25.Disabled candidates should take special note of this.
