Ahmedabad witnessed continuous heavy rain for three to four hours with thunderstorms at night.Today,Thursday (June 19),light rain has lashed several scattered areas of the city.
Heavy to Very Heavy Rain Alert for 6 Days
According to the weather department’s forecast,an orange alert has been issued in Surat, Tapi,Bharuch, Mahisagar,Dahod districts in the state today and a yellow alert has been issued in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kheda,Vadodara,Panchmahal,Chhota Udepur,Narmada,Anand,Aravalli,Botad, Bhavnagar,Amreli,Gir Somnath districts due to heavy rains.
Forecast for June 20-21
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Bharuch, Surat,Tapi,Navsari,Dang,Valsad districts on June 20 and Banaskantha,Sabarkantha, Navsari,Dang, and Valsad districts on June 21.
Forecast for June 22
Heavy to very heavy rain is predicted in 19 districts of the state on June 22.In which, heavy rain is predicted in Sabarkantha and Aravalli and heavy rain is predicted in Kutch, Morbi,Surendranagar,Jamnagar,Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar,Mehsana,Patan,Banaskantha, Gandhinagar,Anand,Kheda,Panchmahal, Mahisagar,Dahod,Navsari,Dang and Valsad districts.

On June 23, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Sabarkantha following an Orange Alert and heavy rain in Kutch, Patan, Mehsana, Banaskantha,Aravalli,Jamnagar,Devbhoomi Dwarka,Navsari,Valsad districts following a Yellow Alert.

A yellow alert has been issued in the state for heavy rains in Navsari,Valsad,Kutch,Patan, Banaskantha,Sabarkantha,Mehsana on June 24 and Devbhoomi Dwarka,Porbandar, Junagadh,Gir Somnath,Navsari, Valsad districts on June 25.
