Shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport in the afternoon, the plane crashed and fell into a residential area of the city. A part of the plane fell on the BJ Medical College hostel in Meghani Nagar area. There were 242 people on board the plane, including two pilots and 10 crew members.
According to AP, all 242 people on board the plane have died. Meanwhile, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner has informed that one person has survived the accident, who is undergoing treatment. The passenger’s name is Vishwas Kumar Ramesh. There were 169 Indian passengers on the plane. Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani also died in this accident.
