Vacancy Details
A total of 30 posts are available, distributed as follows:
- Librarian (Group-C) on establishments of District Judiciary: 29 Posts
- Librarian cum Research Assistant (Group-C) on establishment of Industrial Courts and Labour Courts: 01 Post
The detailed category-wise breakup for District Judiciary is provided in Annexure ‘A’ of the official notification. For general category candidates, there are 30 total posts, with 2 posts reserved for women and 2 for persons with benchmark disabilities. No vacancies are available for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, and Ex-Servicemen categories. However, candidates from these reserved categories can apply against the Unreserved Category and will be eligible for relaxation in examination fees.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as of the last date for submitting the Online Application (i.e., 20/10/2026):
Experience Required
Candidates must have 02 years of experience working in any well-organized Library after obtaining their degree.
Age Limit
Applicants should not be less than 21 years and not more than 37 years of age as of 20/10/2026.
Age Relaxation
The upper age limit will be relaxed for various categories:
- Women Candidates: 05 Years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: Actual Service rendered plus 03 Years
- Employees working in the State Government: 05 Years OR to the extent of equal number of years for which service has been put in by him/her, whichever is less.
In any case, the upper age limit for any candidate, under any Category/Class, shall NOT exceed 45 Years while availing the above-mentioned age relaxations.
Application Fees
The application fees are as follows:
- For Reserved Categories (SC / ST / SEBC / EWS / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD): ₹750/- plus usual Bank Charges.
- For All Other Candidates: ₹1500/- plus usual Bank Charges.
Fees must be paid via “Print Application/Pay Fees” Button through SBI e-Pay on the HC-OJAS Portal.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of two stages:
- Main Written Examination (Objective Type – MCQs): 100 Marks
- Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview): 40 Marks
Candidates belonging to the PwBD Category must secure a minimum of 45% Marks in the Main Written Examination. All other candidates must secure a minimum of 50% Marks in the Main Written Examination to qualify for the Viva-voce Test. For final merit list inclusion, candidates must obtain a minimum of 40% Marks in the Viva-voce Test.

- Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 Mark.
- Negative Marking: 0.33 Mark for each wrong/multiple answer.
