“Kunvarbai Nu Mameru Yojana” has been running for a long time in the state of Gujarat for the welfare of daughters of poor families and to provide them financial assistance.In Kuvarbai Nu Mameru Yojana,assistance is paid directly to the bank accounts of married daughters through DBT.
Kunwarbai’s Mameru Yojana provides the benefit of marriage of daughters of socially and economically weaker families.In this scheme, assistance of Rs. 12000/- (Ten thousand) is deposited directly in the bank account through DBT.
Income limit
The annual income limit for the Kunwarbai Scheme has been fixed by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment at 1,20,000/- in rural areas and 1,50,000/- in urban areas.
What is Kunwarbai’s plan for the future?
Kunvarbai’s Mamerun Yojana is a scheme run under the Social Welfare Branch of the Government of Gujarat in which the girls of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are eligible to get the benefit.After the girls are married,they can take advantage of this scheme. This scheme is also known as Mangalsutra Yojana.
In the Mangalsutra scheme,The applicant is provided financial assistance by the government.Earlier it was Rs.10,000, now it has been increased to Rs. 12,000.
Kuvarbai Mameru Yojana Agenda
This scheme has been launched to provide financial assistance to the brides of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes from poor families after their marriage.
On the occasion of the marriage of two adult daughters of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, under the Kuvarbai Mameru Yojana (to the bride married after 1/4/2021),an assistance of Rs. 12000/- will be paid as per the revised rate, while to the bride married before this date, an assistance of Rs. 10000/- will be paid as per the old rate.
Eligibility and Criteria
Before applying for the Kuvarbai Mameru Yojana, you need to know about the eligibility criteria of the scheme.
- Candidates applying for the first time must be permanent residents of the state of Gujarat.
- The applicant can avail this facility at the time of their daughter’s marriage.
- Benefits under this scheme are available up to the marriage of two (2) adult daughters of the family.
- The bride’s age should be 18 years and the groom’s age should be 21 years at the time of marriage.
- In rural areas, the annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 1,20,000.
- Urban areas,the applicant’s annual income should not be more than Rs. 1,50,000
- If a bride remarries, she will not be able to benefit.
- You must apply for assistance within two years of marriage.
- Seven districts where group marriages are organized will be eligible for assistance under the Kuvarbai Mameru Yojana.
