Meteorological expert Ambalal Patel has said that pre-monsoon activity will start in many areas of the state from May 13, due to which there is a possibility of rainy weather in the coming days.
At present moderate to heavy rains may occur in Kutch, North Gujarat and some Central Gujarat areas from 12th to 15th. At this time, thunderstorm-like conditions may occur in scattered areas with lightning strikes, strong winds and drizzle.
After May 17, the temperature will rise. The maximum temperature may reach 39 to 40 degrees in some parts of the state. There is a possibility of significant increase in humidity, humidity and heat, due to which people’s health may also be affected.
According to Ambalal Patel, between May 24 and June 4, pressure can be created in the Arabian Sea. If the pressure deepens and takes the form of a cyclone, it may bring rain to the coastal areas of Gujarat.
Rohini Nakshatra will continue during this period and if it rains during that Nakshatra, it is generally considered auspicious, indicating that another good monsoon is coming.
He also added that “If there is rain on May 19, 20 and 22, it could be accompanied by a thunderstorm. These conditions will depend on changes in sea temperature and moisture content of the landmass.”
According to the calculations of the Meteorological Department, monsoon may enter Kerala between May 28 and June 4, if the current weather conditions do not change much. Generally, monsoon arrives in Gujarat after 10-15 days after monsoon enters Kerala. That is, if monsoon arrives in Kerala on time, monsoon in Gujarat can also reach mid-June.
Meteorologists have advised farmers, especially those with cages and those living in agricultural areas, to be prepared for the forecast. It will be important to work according to monsoon preparation, fertilizer quantity and crop cycle.
