The RRB Group D exam is a national-level examination conducted by the RRBs on behalf of the Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC). This Group D exam offers a great career opportunity for those who have completed Class 10 and wish to join the Indian Railways. The recruitment process aims to fill various positions in Level-1 of the seventh CPC pay matrix, including Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T), Assistant Pointsman, and more.
Educational Qualification
- Must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized school, board, or college.
- Should hold an ITI certificate from an NCVT/SCVT-approved institute or college.
Selection Process
The RRB Group D Recruitment 2024 selection process includes three stages. Candidates are shortlisted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The stages of the RRB Group D selection process are as follows

Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, with a maximum age limit of 33 years, to be eligible for the RRC Group D 2024 Exam.
Application Fee
- General/OBC Candidates: The application fee for General and OBC candidates is ₹500, with ₹400 refundable after appearing in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
- SC, ST, EWS, Women, Ex-Servicemen, and PwBD Candidates: The application fee is ₹250, and the full amount will be refunded after the candidate participates in the CBT.
